Technical specifications

  • Core technology:
The system uses High-Performance Anion Exchange Chromatography (HPAEC) combined with Pulsed Amperometric Detection (PAD), a highly sensitive and specific method for carbohydrate analysis.

  • Electrochemical detection:
It features dedicated flow cells (FlexCell or SenCell) with high pH resistance and maintenance-free HyREF reference electrodes, as well as solid gold working electrodes for robustness.

  • Stability and reproducibility:
The system is built to ensure stable and reproducible results, particularly important for high-pH chromatography.
  • An inert gas blanketing kit to prevent CO2 from dissolving in the mobile phase.
  • A column oven that can accurately control temperatures between 5 and 85°C, allowing for both linear and non-linear gradients.

  • Modular design:
The ALEXYS is a modular system, allowing for tailoring to specific applications. Key modules include the eluent tray, pump, autosampler, and column thermostat.

  • Software integration:
It can be integrated with chromatography data systems like Clarity™ or Chromeleon™ for automated data acquisition, processing, and reporting.
