Column Installation:When installing a new column, carefully reset the nut and ferrule on the fittings to ensure proper seating before tightening, which can prevent issues with efficiency and removal. Always remove the PEEK end plugs before installation and consult the instrument's manual for specific instructions.

Preventing Baseline Issues:To avoid baseline errors from detector problems, perform routine maintenance. Using and degassing HPLC-grade solvents, flushing the column with a strong solvent at the end of the day, and maintaining the lamp are all recommended to prevent noise spikes and keep the detector cell clean.
